The Humboldt and District Chamber of Commerce Mark of Excellence Awards honour the best of business in our region. The ceremony is fun evening, with lots of time for socializing and recognizing excellence in business. As well, we recognize our historic leaders in business with our Hall of Fame Awards—for 2023 the recipients are Eric and Ken Ruthven.

Bill Brecht Playground Upgrade Committee
Bill Brecht Playground Upgrade Committee is comprised of five volunteer community members, who are striving to engage people through active, social and imaginative play. Their goal is an estimated $300,000 which will be dedicated to the enhancement project which would include the construction of a new playground structure. This construction would augment the already existing two ball diamonds.

Carlton Trail Regional College
Having celebrated 50 years of service to the region, Carlton Trail Regional College offers in-depth, applied learning to provide post-secondary education and skills training, academic upgrades and other essential skill training. Carlton Trail serves east-central Saskatchewan as a leader in regional workforce education and training services. Each year, approximately 1,500 learners are serviced by the college.

The goal is to create a safe and educational space for all people to be able to express themselves freely and learn more about their own gender identity and sexual orientation. This organization serves 16 communities through the region and has been doing so for a decade.

The Humboldt Community Soup Kitchen has as its mission to support the most vulnerable members in our community offering nutritious meals. The food service will be supplied to those in need by applying for assistance and meeting the criteria. The Soup Kitchen promises to leave no one behind. Meals are offered each Tuesday, with pantry days offered every 2 months with extra food, clothing and more.

Onstage Dance Festival
For 28 years, the Onstage Dance Festival has brought together dancers from the region. Each year, nearly two dozen dance schools compete at the event at the Uniplex. The event is motivational and inspirational for the participants, instructors and spectators. The end result are participants enhanced self-confidence to further develop their dance skills.
